The Astrotheological and Shamanic Origins of Christmas

Every year millions of Christians celebrate the birth of Christ every December 25th.
Then there's all of the other traditions, the nativity scenes, the stories of the birth of Jesus, Christmas trees, presents, stockings filled with goodies.
Where did all of this stuff originate from and what are the deeper meanings of these things? Well after having done years of research into the more esoteric aspects of religions and spirituality I've come to some mighty strange conclusions of my own.
To me the stories in the bible work on a few different levels, there's the level for the unlearned masses which would be basic Christian beliefs, there's the more enlightened astrotheological level, and then there's the highest level of all, the experiential shamanic level.
If you take the story of the birth of Christ and compare it to Christmas on an astrotheological level, it tells an entirely different story than the popular myth we've been told all of our lives.
On Sep.
22nd the Sun reaches its southernmost point from the Northern Hemisphere, the shortest days of the year, the middle of winter, with the shortest amount of sunlight during the day.
For 2 more days the sun rises in the same southernmost location.
On the night of Dec.
24th at dusk if you look to the east you will see the 3 wise men of the Belt of Orion aligned perfectly vertically in the air following the star Sirius.
As the night progresses the constellation Virgo the Virgin rises on the eastern horizon giving birth to the newly reborn solar Christ, who begins its journey back towards the northern hemisphere on the same day.
Bringing his light and warmth back to the northern hemisphere.
But who's this other guy in the red suit that flies through the sky or the astral plane on his magical sleigh and why are we putting angel wings on top of Christmas trees? Well you'll have to take a deeper look at the origins of these things.
Nearly all of the religions in the world evolved from astrotheology and shamanism.
Santa is the Germanic - Siberian amanita muscaria mushroom shaman.
To understand more about Santa, Christmas, and Jesus, you'll have to learn more about this red and white fungus.
Santa the village shaman or medicine man dresses in the colors of his magical mushroom and the mushroom is often found beneath the pine trees...
"presents under the tree.
" He would hang his mushrooms in the tree limbs to dry as he gathered more to take back to the village for the solstice celebration.
These Northern villages were often snow covered around this time of year and the only entrance to their huts was the smoke hole in the top.
Which is where the coming down the chimney myth comes from.
The villagers would hang their mushrooms in socks by the fire to dry them and partake of them on the long dark days of winter.
Their spiritual light within during the darkest time of year.
Some of the oldest and most common vintage Christmas ornaments are Amanita mushroom ornaments.
The tree itself with its serpentine tinsel and angel wings on top becomes the caduceus the symbol of the holy mushroom the medicine.
The flesh of the Gods.
The cross itself is also a caduceus symbol and Jesus is also the myth of the Shaman, the hero, master of both worlds, possessor of the holy medicine/spirit, and I'll get into this in future articles.
Until then have a very Merry Christmas.
