You Must Set Yourself Realistic Goals To Achieve Money Making Success
Don't believe me? How many of you have been trying desperately to build an online career only to flounder after a week or two, perhaps for some of you it may have been a little bit longer.
What was the problem, apart from the obvious, lack of money? No doubt some of you became disillusioned after failing to earn any money at all.
Others may have made a bob or two then reached some form of stalemate.
Frequently, aspiring internet businessmen and women start extremely motivated and put a huge amount of effort into a scheme only to give up after an average of 1 week because of perceived failure.
They all have one thing in common, they lost their motivation because they didn't have a realistic, clearly assembled list of goals with a suitable timeframe in which to achieve them in.
You will not become another of those statistics.
Before commencing any project it is imperative that you set out your plan, just as you did at school before writing an essay you will build a strategy that will lay the foundations of your business and ultimately your success.
i.
Decide what it is you are hoping to achieve from your business.
Interested in making a small amount of extra money in a small time frame? Then your plan will be vastly different then someone hoping to build a living.
Simple money making projects like paid surveys may be more suitable for you for example rather than a more complex and time consuming website focused e-commerce business.
ii.
Set yourself a genuinely realistic time frame.
You are not going to make a million or even a thousand dollars overnight, in a week or even possibly in your first few weeks.
Write that out clearly on your goals sheet and it will prevent loss of motivation when in 2 weeks time you are feeling like throwing the towel in because you can't see the dollars rolling in.
Money making is a slow process at the beginning, set yourself a progressive earnings program that sees small amounts coming in at first, gradually increasing each month as you build your business up.
If anything, be a little modest in your predictions.
Nothing will do more for you confidence then meeting and then exceeding your predictions later down the line.
iii.
Most importantly you must honestly identify how much time you are going to be able to give to you business.
If you have a full time job and are fitting this in at the weekends or evenings then you will not be able to achieve the same goals as someone who is solely working on it.
Be realistic about this, you will seriously struggle to motivate yourself in 3 weeks time if you are way off your objectives because you simply can't balance the kids and your full time job and work on your business as well.
Lay off the targets a little and you will find staying the course much easier than if you push yourself too much.
A goal sheet may seem like a waste of time, a burden and offer nothing towards your money making dreams.
But, I guarantee you that without it, you will be just another failed statistic of someone who tried and failed to succeed online.
It will take only a few minutes to complete but will be invaluable to you throughout the rest of your online career.
