When getting the nursery ready for your baby, you will come to realize how important storage space is. A closet is very beneficial but can fill up quickly, depending on the size. Also, to prevent from cluttering the floor space of the nursery, shelving becomes a practical option for storing baby's accessories and for decorating the room. - Adjustable shelving is very beneficial in a nursery. If using a standing shelf, place items you use or need the most within easy reach while placing toy items on the bottom shelves. You can adjust the height of the shelves to accommodate what you place on them. Many armoires and enclosed shelving units come with adjustable shelving as well.
- Wall shelves that have pegs underneath can work wonders in a nursery. These pegs can be used to hold baby's sweater, jacket, bags—anything you might need to grab at the last minute. You can also use the pegs to display baby keepsakes. Just be sure you place the shelf in an area where it will not hurt the baby or anyone else should it fall from the wall.
- Corner shelving takes up little floor space and provides a substantial amount of room to store baby items. Corner shelves come in a variety of sizes. Depending on the amount of storage space you need, you might prefer a short or tall one.
