- 1). Cut the faux stone panel to fit into the upper corner of the wall you're covering. The panels have a design that fits them to the adjacent panels like a puzzle. Cut off the tabs on one side of the faux stone panel with your band saw. Apply polyurethane glue to the back of the panel in a zig-zag pattern. Position the faux stone panel tightly into the corner of the wall. Tap on its sides to make sure it is snugly fitted. Drill a screw into each corner of the panel between the faux stones in the pattern of the panel.
- 2). Apply polyurethane glue to the next piece of faux stone panel in a zig-zag pattern. Fit it next to the corner piece snugly by tapping the panel into the side of the corner panel and then drilling a screw into each corner of the new panel. Repeat this process until you get to the end of the wall you're covering. When you reach the end of the wall, mark the edge of the panel where it does not fit on the wall and cut off that area of the panel with the band saw. Apply the cut panel just as you did the previous ones. Remember to drill a screw into each corner of the panel between the faux stones in the pattern.
- 3). Begin the next row of panels above your first row. Offset this row of faux stone panels by half a panel to give your wall a seamless appearance. Take a new panel and apply polyurethane glue to the back, again in a zig-zag pattern. Place the middle of this new sheet below the first seam in the row above. Measure and cut the next faux stone panel to fit against the side of the wall. Fit the side wall panel between the wall and the offsetting panel piece, gluing it like previous panels and drilling a screw into each corner of the panel. Finish this row of faux stone panels like you did the previous row and repeat the offsetting pattern through each row to maintain a seamless appearance, until the wall is completed.
- 4). Apply a small dab of caulk on top of each screw that was drilled into the wall. Run your finger through the grove of the faux stone to smooth the caulk over the screw. Wait for the caulk to dry and then paint over it with touch-up paint that is the same color as the faux stone. The touch-up paint is usually available from the store you bought your panels from. When the paint has dried, your faux stone wall is completed.
