How to Cut a Clay Sewage Pipe
- 1). Wrap the chain-cutting jaws on the soil pipe cutter around the diameter of the clay pipe.
- 2). Pull the chain tight around the pipe. The ratcheting action will keep the chain tight as it is pulled.
- 3). Squeeze the handles together slowly. The cutting chain has high-strength steel cutting wheels embedded into it. As the handles are squeezed, the wheels will slowly pierce the clay surface until the pipe literally snaps off at the cut line.
