Parenthood is a great and unique experience.
Every parent, including some mostly busy-working parent, will want to enjoy a close relationship with their kids.
Here are some wonderful tips to achieve great parenting: 1.
Maintain a regular parent-child communication.
Talk to your child daily, bring yourself to his level to understand what your child is thinking or how he feeling.
Ask him and listen, do not pass judgments on what you heard.
Acknowledge his ideas and feelings even if you totally disagree with him.
Do not be ashamed to share with your child your opinions and feelings too.

Constantly reassure your child through verbal expressions like telling: " I love you, you are special to me", as well as physical gestures like a hug, a kiss or a pat on the shoulder.

Praise your child when he does something well or achieves good results.
Praise him for improvements made or good behaviours.

Put aside time to spend with your child everyday.
Make sure you put aside your household chores, newspaper or worries as well.
If you are unable to spend this valuable time with him, call him to re-schedule the time like having supper instead of dinner together.

Playing with your with child gives you an opportunity to build a positive and healthy relationship with him.
This bonding will develop as your child grows and mature.
6.
Pay attention to your child's feelings, be sensitive to his happiness, sadness, fear or worries.
Find out what is happening to him, pay attention to his positive or negative feelings towards the experience and let him know that you sincerely try to understand him.

Foster your child's independence by not controlling him too much, give your child the freedom to explore the world and voice their opinions in an appropriate manner.
By giving him the due freedom and providing security in the surrounding environment will bridge up the parent-child gap.
8.
Solve problems with your child, you need not tell them the solution, but listen attentively and understand the situation.
Find out what the child thinks and the solutions he can offer.
You may provide other options if necessary.
Helps your child to think of positive consequences to each options and decide on the best solution.
Solving problems will teach him an important life skill, and build up a strong parent-child gap between both of you.
