Disk Antivirus Professional is a variant of the Winwebsec Trojan horse malware family that poses as a legitimate antivirus application. The Winwebsec family group includes a variety of malware that attempts to trick you by displaying fake infected files on your PC and lures you to perform a virus scan.

However, if you run a scan using Disk Antivirus Professional, you will inadvertently install the malware on your PC. In addition, Disk Antivirus Professional will request that you pay to register the application in order finalize the scan by removing the non-existent malware threats from your computer. Once installed, the Trojan horse will terminate certain computer process, disable security features, and block access to certain websites.
