- 1). Sell the equipment online; there are websites available to help you. For example, at ForFarmers.com, you can place a classified ad to sell your equipment.
- 2). Advertise at home. Place your equipment on your front lawn with a "for sale" sign on it. If you constantly have equipment to sell, display three items at a time.
- 3). Contract with a garden/lawn maintenance service. Agree to refer each other to potential clients. Offer an incentive for them to use your equipment exclusively, such as advertising for them on all your equipment.
- 4). Buy a radio spot to advertise your equipment. Include what is for sale, contact information and cost. Make sure your radio spot plays at a time when the most people will hear it, such as 8 in the morning.
- 5). Buy a spot at a farmers market to sell your equipment. During the summer, almost all communities have farmers markets. Also, offer the other market sellers a discount on your equipment.
