How to Make Your Own Rock Boulders

Cut off enough chicken wire for the size of the rock you want. - 2). Bring the ends of the wire together, fasten, and mold the wire into the shape of a rock.
- 3). With the glue gun, attach two layers of paper towel over the entire wire frame.
- 4). Cut off about 8 inches of plaster gauze, dip in warm water, squeeze lightly and apply over the paper towels. Apply a second layer the same way. Let dry for 24 hours.
- 1). Mix the paints together, stirring well. The color should be light grayish brown.
- 2). Mix about 1 cup of sand into the paint and stir well.
- 3). Brush the rock with the paint and sand mixture. Let dry.
- 4). With separate brushes, lightly spatter the rock with the individual paints, thinned down. Let dry.
