If you have seen a blog you really like the look of, at the bottom of that blog you will generally see some information about the theme.
It might say "Blog design by ___" or "WordPress theme by ___".
Then you can search for that name in the directory, or click on the link and it will take you to the place where you can find that theme.
Another way to find themes is to do a search using Google.
If you want a free theme you could type in your search bar "Free WordPress themes" and you will find lots of different sites offering free themes.
Updating Your Theme Once you have selected a theme you like, click on the download button and save the theme to your computer.
They will usually come in a zipped file, so you will want to unzip that file.
Next you upload the theme from your computer to the server using an FTP program like SmartFTP or FileZila.
You will want open public_html, wp-content, themes.
This is where you will place the new theme.
Now back in your WordPress back office when you click Change Theme the new option you just uploaded will be there.
Simply by clicking on theme you see what your site will look like and if you like it, click Activate and you now have a new theme.
You can verify that by visiting your site and you will see all your existing content, just laid out in a different theme! You can download as many themes as you like and easily try them out.
