Multi Level Marketing (MLM) - Business Review
Most MLM businesses can be operated from the comfort of your own home.
Multi level marketing is NOT a scam, the Federal Trade Commission only considers a company to be scandalous if they promote a "pyramid scheme" designed with the sole purpose of promoting a pyramid and nothing else.
Within a pyramid scam, you cannot make more money than the people above you.
Multi level marketing is profitable for the creator and those few people who get in early.
If you want to become a pest to family and friends by all means get into a MLM venture.
MLM is a marketing and leadership business run by people that have no idea how to market or to be a leader.
MLMs emphasize the "unlimited market potential"--which is of course, impossible--and then create a structure in which there may be 100's, if not 1000's of sales reps ("distributors") walking around in an area where there should be 1 or 2.
MLM'ers usually don't realize this until it's too late.
MLM businesses operate in the United States in all 50 states and in more than 100 other countries, and new businesses may use terms like "affiliate marketing" or "home-based business franchising".
However, many pyramid schemes try to present themselves as legitimate MLM businesses.
MLM marketing is being practiced all over the United States and in hundreds of other countries.
MLM owners will repeatedly tell you how their method is tried and tested and how you should stick to doing things their way as it works, but ensure you have adequate proof to support these claims before investing.
Network marketing offers home based representatives the opportunity to get paid from other peoples efforts, not just their own.
Network marketers, on the other hand, work for the business which has the multi level marketing program in place.
The network marketer is responsible for selling the company's product/service for a commission.
