You are engaged! Congratulations! Soon, you will be neck deep in planning the wedding of your dreams and you will not have any time for anything else. This is supposed to be the happiest day of your life, so make sure you do your homework and know exactly what you are getting yourself into before you exchange those wedding rings on that special day. This time in your life will be hectic, so having as much organization as possible in your life will make the stress seem more bearable. It is also wise to heed the warnings from other people who have gotten married before you. Here is some advice for the wedding day itself when you exchange wedding rings and become husband and wife.

The night before your big day, make sure you go to bed early and get plenty of sleep. Yes, it will be difficult to sleep because you will constantly be thinking about the very next day, but try to get into bed at a decent hour. Planning a bachelor or bachelorette party the night before your wedding is just plain stupid. Who wants to be hungover and feeling like crap in the day of their wedding? No one.

Eat a good, solid breakfast jam packed full of protein and complex carbohydrates. This type of food will stay in your body longer and will keep you going for what may quite possibly be the longest day of your entire life. You will be so busy being pulled in multiple directions that you may not have time to eat again until well after the wedding ceremony.

Give yourself plenty of time to get ready. You want to be able to have time to relax before you exchange wedding rings and vows, not be pressed for time and make your guests wait until you have finished your makeup, etc. This is a big day, so plan accordingly.

Wear a dress shirt that buttons all the way up the front when getting your hair done. This will allow you easy access when removing the shirt to change into your wedding dress. It will preserve your gorgeous hair style and keep it from getting damaged in all the pandemonium ensuing around you.

Lastly, make sure someone you trust very much has the diamond wedding rings safely in their possession the day of the ceremony. It would be absolutely dreadful to lose the rings on the day of your wedding.
