How to Cultivate Morning Glory Seeds
- 1). Place the morning glory seeds in a bowl of warm water and soak them overnight.
- 2). Push the morning glory seeds 1 inch deep into pots filled with equal parts of compost and perlite.
- 3). Place the pots on a heat mat set to 75 degrees Fahrenheit in an area that receives indirect sunlight. Your seeds should begin to sprout within seven days. Remove them from the heat mat at that time.
- 4). Keep the soil moist at all times while the seeds germinate and grow.
- 5). Fertilize the seedlings for the first time when they have their fourth set of leaves. Use an all-purpose fertilizer, such as 10-10-10, diluted to one-fourth the recommended strength.
- 6). Install a trellis or other support system prior to planting the morning glory seedlings outdoors.
- 7). Plant the morning glory seedlings 6 inches away from the support system, in a sunny area, after all danger of frost has passed.
