Singles Clubs in Rochester, NY
- Rochester Fun Raisers Singles Club is a group of single people, 40 and over, who come together for activities that develop friendships. The members demonstrate a concern for the well-being of others and a respect for the beliefs of all people. Annual membership dues are $35, or $40 if you would like to receive the club newsletter.
- Singles Golf of Rochester (SGR) is open to singles, ages 21 and older, who enjoy playing golf. Members are either divorced, widowed or never married. Golf expertise is not required, though it is suggested that you have basic knowledge of the game. Members have a wide range of ages and ability levels. The group plays golf at least twice a month in season, and members can participate all they want. SGR also offers happy hour and dinner events.
- Neutral Ground is a peer support organization for singles who have experienced the pain of divorce or a broken relationship. Neutral Ground offers a safe environment for men and women of all ages to express their feelings with others who can relate to the experience. Neutral Ground offers two types of groups. Open groups, which do not require registration, meet every Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. A $3 donation is requested to cover the costs of renting the space. Closed groups require registration, and availability is limited. A registration fee of $25 applies. Closed groups meet one night a week for nine weeks.
- Huggers Ski Club has existed for more than 30 years. Members enjoy a wide range of year-round activities in Rochester and upstate New York, including downhill and cross-country skiing, bicycling, kayaking and canoeing, snowshoeing, camping, picnics, dinners and happy hours. Although Huggers is not exclusively a singles club, about 80 percent of the members are single. General meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month. Membership is open to adults 21 and over.
