4 Great Things to Do at Orlando Theme Parks
1. Train to be an astronaut at Kennedy Space Center
Have a go at being what every child dreams of being and see if you have what it takes to be an astronaut. Listen to the advice of a veteran NASA astronaut before undergoing a space shuttle simulation and performing hands-on activities that real space explorers would do.
Depending on the package, you can even build and launch your own rocket, as well as having the chance to feel the effects of zero gravity in the simulator.
2. Travel through Hollywood history at Walt Disney World Resort
Enter the full-scale reproduction of Grauman's Chinese Theatre and enter the world of Hollywood film history. In the lobby, check out the exhibit of costumes, props and set pieces, including, if you're lucky, Dorothy's slippers from the Wizard of Oz.
The ride will take you right into the action of some of Hollywood's most iconic movies, including Alien, Fantasia, Mary Poppins and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Using film footage, special effects and robotic replicas of famous movie stars, you can walk straight into famous scenes from these movies and see movie history unfold before your eyes.
3. Feed the dolphins at SeaWorld
At Sea World, you can find one of the largest interactive dolphin pools in the world, and by interactive we mean that you can truly get up close and personal with the world's favourite marine mammal.
Watch the bottlenose dolphins play in the water from above-water and below-water perspectives. Look out for feeding time in particular which is always a good show and, if you're looking for the ultimate dolphin experience, you can also pay an additional fee to feed a dolphin.
4. Spend the night with alligators at Gatorland
On this scary night time adventure, you will be given a flashlight and a few hotdogs before being left to your own devices in Gatorland's Alligator Breeding Marsh. Listen in the darkness to the approach of the alligators and stave them off with you supply of alligator food; don't forget to use your flashlight so you can get a good look at the beasts!
Of course, you will be entirely safe on this adventure tour, but it's always fun to imagine! This is your chance to see alligators like never before, and with all the family around to support each other (or scare each other!) this experience really could be the highlight of your holiday in Orlando.
