    • 1). Paint the dowel rod with green craft paint. Place the dowel rod aside to dry.

    • 2). Wax a serrated knife with candle wax. Cut a two inch slice from the base of the floral foam cone. The cone cuts more easily because you have waxed the knife.

    • 3). Place a ring of white craft glue around the base of the plant urn. Place the floral foam that you have cut from the base of the cone into the container. Allow the glue to dry.

    • 4). Insert the dowel rod into the center of the floral foam. Remove the dowel rod and fill the hole halfway with glue. Insert the dowel rod into the hole again and allow the glue to dry.

    • 5). Insert the other end of the dowel rod into the center of the floral foam ball. Remove the foam ball and place a dot of glue onto the end of the dowel rod. Place the ball back onto the dowel rod and allow it to dry.

    • 6). Arrange green moss around the base of the dowel rod to cover the floral foam inside the urn.

    • 7). Cut the stems of the silk flowers so that each wire stem is 1 inch long. Insert the flowers into the floral ball. Place a dot of glue on the back of each flower to hold it in place. Cover the floral ball completely with the silk flowers so that you cannot see the floral ball beneath the flowers.

    • 8). Tie a bow with wire-edged ribbon to the dowel rod just below the floral ball. Bend the bow loops and the trailing ends of ribbon so that the bow assumes the shape that you desire. Place a dot of glue between the ribbon and the dowel rod to hold it in place. Allow the glue to dry before moving your arrangement.
