- Divide the teens into three or four teams. Give each team a Bible. The team members line up in one long line. Read out a verse for the teams to find. Each team member must open the Bible and find the correct passage before handing the Bible to the next team member. The next team member must close the Bible and open it again at the same verse or at another verse given by the teacher. Play continues down the line. The last player must pass the Bible back to the leader. The first team to complete the cycle wins.
- Create an obstacle course indoors or outdoors. Divide the teens into three or four teams. The teens must go through the course one at a time. However, before the teens can go through the course, they must recite a Bible verse given to them by the teacher. Each player in the team must recite a different verse before they can go through the obstacle course. The teacher can determine which verses to use ahead of time. Each team should recite the same list of verses to make the game fair. The first team through the course wins the game.
- This is a twist on the traditional relay. Each teen approaches the front of the room and has 10 seconds to list as many Bible characters as he can think of. The player then calls on another teen to come up and list names. The teens cannot repeat names, and someone should keep track of the names used to avoid repeats. The person who can list the greatest number of character in the time limit wins.
- This is a fun game to play at the end of a Bible verse memorization unit or at the end of the school year. Compile a list of all of the verses the teens have memorized throughout the year. Divide the teens into two teams. Have an adult listen to each team recite. One at a time, each person in the team recites one verse, then goes to the back of the line. Play continues until one team completes all of the verses from the unit or year.
