No longer do you need to endure distorted pictures and a frequently interrupted TV feed; a digital aerial is the perfect solution to receiving good quality digital TV reception, and being able to fully enjoy your digital television.

Digital TV delivers clearer signals, higher quality pictures and you can also receive Freeview, a free service allowing you to watch over forty television channels at no extra cost.  In order to enjoy the benefits of Freeview, your television must first be able to receive a digital signal and would therefore need an aerial for digital TV.

If you haven't already made the switch from analogue to digital, or even if you have but haven't changed your aerial yet, you may find that some of your favourite TV channels are no longer present or that the picture quality isn't that great.  Installing a new digital aerial could be the answer.

What do I need to receive digital TV reception?

To be able to receive digital TV reception, you will need one of the following:
  • Digital box
  • Digital television
  • Digital TV recorder

Freeview TV is received through a digital aerial, and this means that you must have an aerial for a digital TV which should be installed correctly by professional digital aerial installers.  Failure to install and maintain it correctly could result in it becoming damaged by the elements or being knocked out of position, in both instances, the picture displayed on the TV may become distorted, and watching Freeview will become impaired.

What if I encounter a problem?

If an issue suddenly arises with your digital TV signal, there are a few things that you could check:
  • The condition of the cables
  • That all cables are connected
  • That the pins on the scart lead are not bent or broken
  • Does your TV need retuning?

If you have checked all of the above and are still having problems receiving a good signal, you may need to call in qualified digital aerial installers, who can quickly and easily solve any aerial issues that you may be having with your signal.

Making the switch to digital is a relatively straightforward process and ensuring you have the right tools and equipment in order to make the transition as smooth as possible is key.  You may want to enlist the help of professional aerial installers to guarantee you'll receive the best possible uninterrupted signal for optimal viewing pleasure.
