Sometimes you can see elements of their stories you may be able to adapt in your own work.
If not, you can still get a fresh perspective on your own material.
Reading other people's memoirs is a great way to jog your memory, too.
You can get an idea of the sort of things that go into these works.
Include as much detail as you can, because your readers will appreciate this.
