- 1). Click "Start" to open your start menu. Select "Control Panel" on the sidebar. Click "Add or Remove Programs" or "Uninstall a Program" (depending on your operating system). Browse through the program list to find "Norton GoBack." If you see it, click on it, and then click "Remove." The uninstall wizard starts. Click "Next" to complete the installation. Click "Yes" to reboot your computer when the wizard is finished. If you do not see Norton GoBack, you'll need to download the Norton Removal Tool to remove the program.
- 2). Download the Norton Removal Tool. Click "Save File" to save the tool to your hard drive.
- 3). Double-click on the .exe file to run the Norton Removal Tool. Click "Next" to move through the prompts. When the removal tool is finished, you'll be prompted to restart your computer. Click "Ok" to restart. Upon start up, Norton GoBack is removed.
