Why Am I Still Fat?

103 10
I have been in pretty good shape most of my life.
I was an athlete for about 10 years.
My dad was great, he was a little league baseball coach, and a football coach.
And he was a darn good coach.
We practiced our butts off.
But this led to many championships.
I had gobs and gobs of trophiess.
After this I joined the military, and of course, was in good shape.
In 2000, I had been working at a factory in my home town of Bloomington, Indiana.
I was in my early 40's, and was not quite in the best shape.
I had gained some weight.
I drank a lot of beer at that point in my life.
Then the unthinkable happened.
I lost my job, my wife, and everything I had worked for all my adult life.
I even lost the car of my dreams, 1982 special edition corvette.
I was reeling.
my life sucked.
I began to comfort myself with food, and alcohol.
I had blown up to 50 lbs above my normal weight! I remember my mother seeing me and saying "Randy, cant you start jogging or something"? I knew I was fat.
But it really gets hammered home when a family member acknowledges it.
So I put it in my mind that I was going to lose weight.
I was at almost 260lbs! My normal good, and looking good weight is around 200lbs.
I was so fat that I couldn't even see my privates if you know what I mean.
So if that cannot motivate you to do something, then nothing will.
I knew I had to start getting my metabolism up.
I needed to seriously monitor what, and how much I ate.
But you can not stop eating.
When you do this, your brain tells your body to start storing fat.
This is very important when dieting.
Do not quit eating.
Monitor what you eat.
low fat everything.
Jump start your metabolism.
I have found a safe, and inexpensive way to do that.
My mother turned me on to this about 5years ago.
They are vitamins.
Vitamin b12's.
Buy them at Wal-Mart for around $5.
Take a few a day, your energy, and mood will improve.
Your metabolism will shift into high gear.
Start moving! God designed our bodies to walk.
So start eating low fat, smaller portions.
Start moving and walking.
Start off slow.
Work your way up.
Take the B12's.
This will kick your metabolism up.
Remember do not stop eating.
This is the worse thing you can do to yourself.
Eat smaller portions, more times daily.
Start moving and walking.
Then you wont ask yourself next Christmas "why am I still fat"?
