How to Give Myself Bangs With Long Curly Hair
- 1). Wash and style your hair the way you normally do. If you typically part your hair in the middle, for example, ensure that the part is even. The location of your hair's part affects the length of your bangs, so it's important to ensure that your part is even and positioned the way you like it best.
- 2). Comb hair from the top front portion of your head forward. This will create bangs that cover your face. Continue combing and repositioning hair until you have achieved the thickness you want for your bangs. While leaving the combed-forward hair in place, ensure that your part is still neat. Otherwise you might end up with an uneven cut.
- 3). Spray the portion of your hair that is combed forward with the spray bottle. The hair should be wet enough that it's easy to cut and comb, but not so wet that it becomes straight. Starting on one side, separate the hair into 1-inch wide sections. Then, cut about a 1/2 inch of hair from the section at a time until you have achieved the length that you want. Repeat this with each subsequent section. When you reach the opposite side of your hair from where you started, you will have bangs.
