How to Make Scar Cream
- 1). Purchase the carbon dioxide herbal extracts and rose hips seed oil from a makeup wholesaler or a local organic foods store. You can also purchase them online. Check Resources below for a direct link.
- 2). Combine four drops of the German chamomile CO2 select, three drops of the calendula CO2 select, and three drops of the helichrysum CO2 select in the small bottle, and store in a cool dry place for about a week. These herbal extracts must be given time to blend together so that their full scar-healing potency can be achieved. German chamomile, calendula and helichrysum are known for their anti-inflammatory, skin cell regenerating and general scar-healing properties. Note: CO2 select is a more liquid consistency of the extracts; CO2 total is generally more waxy or creamy.
- 3). Add about a 3/4 ounce of the rosehip seed oil to the CO2 mixture. Close the bottle tightly and shake vigorously to allow all of the oils and extracts to blend together thoroughly.
- 4). Rub the scar cream deep into your skin to help heal new scars and reduce the appearance of old scars. Rub deeply into the affected areas and allow to stay on your skin overnight to fully absorb.
