- 1). Lay your vacuum cleaner on the floor with the brush bar facing up.
- 2). Use the coin to turn the fasteners on the faceplate over the brush bar. Remove plastic faceplate.
- 3). Cut hair and threads that are wrapped around the brush bar and pull them free. Discard them.
- 4). Wipe dust and debris from the plastic surrounding the brush bar and the underside of the faceplate using the rag or paper towel.
- 5). Replace the faceplate and tighten the fasteners with the coin. The faceplate must be fitted properly for your brush to function properly, so manipulate it until it rests easily on top of the brush bar.
