Removable Wall Stickers: A Great Weekend Project for Young Kids

My best friend just had a second son.
Ten toes, ten fingers.
A new life is a real blessing and everyone's thrilled.
Well the only person who isn't as thrilled to have this new member of the family has been their first child.
Not surprisingly, the shift in attention between their first child and their newborn has caused their oldest child to lash out as some sort of protest against child's response to this new baby.
In an effort to curb this bad behavior both parents decided that it'd be a great idea to dedicate one day to making their oldest child feel special.
They came to the conclusion that take time to redecorate their children's bathroom so that it really feels like a "big boy's" bathroom would be the perfect way to help their oldest adjust.
I suggested they pick up a few removable vinyl wall stickers of trains, their son's favorite toy, and let him choose where and how to affix them.
They were able to preview the decals online, pick them up in a local store and were ready to put them up, under the careful guidance of their pint-sized supervisor, of course, inside of a few hours.
Their son loves the bathroom and his new role as the big brother.
Finding a simpler means of decorating and giving the responsibility to do the actual decorating has been a great way to empower their oldest son and show him that the arrival of his new, little brother isn't something to be upset about but rather a sign that he's moving on to a new chapter is his life.
