How to Draw Hearts With Wings
- 1). Begin with the heart. Draw one by starting at the base of the heart and sketching a line upward diagonally and then curving back toward the base. Repeat this from the bottom going in the other direction, and you will have completed the heart.
- 2). Shade in the heart with the side of your pencil. Shade the edges and the middle, but leave some white areas to make it appear more realistic.
- 3). Draw a line diagonally out from the right side of the heart. Then draw another line up a short distance and another one from the top of the second line down diagonally. This will be the rough skeleton for the wing.
- 4). Draw the feathers under the line, about level with the base of the heart. You can draw a simple line of "u" or "v" shapes continuously that spans the length of the line above it. Draw more that follow the second diagonal line, but as you begin to stretch farther away from heart, start to enlarge the shapes of the feathers.
- 5). Following the third line you drew, create much larger feathers that get longer as you approach the end of the wing. The last feather should connect to the third line.
- 6). Add detail in the feathers by drawing small "u" or "v" shapes within the entire span of the wing. Each one needs to over lap the next one.
- 7). Make the feathers further away from the heart a little larger as you move away.
- 8). Repeat Steps 3 through 7 on the left side of the heart.
