How to Tint Paper With an Airbrush
- 1). Plug in the air compressor. Allow it to compress air to the PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) specified for your airbrush, according to the manufacturer instructions.
- 2). Attach the airbrush to the air compressor, following the manufacturer instructions.
- 3). Place the piece of paper that you would like to tint onto a large scrap piece of paper or table cloth to ensure a quick and easy clean up.
- 4). Attach the canister of paint to the airbrush.
- 5). Press down on the airbrush's trigger to release air, while holding the airbrush about 6 inches away from the paper you would like to tint. Slightly pull back on the trigger to release a small amount of paint. You want to create a paint mist rather than a paint stream. Move the airbrush in small circles until you have covered the entire paper in a thin spray of paint.
- 6). Remove the canister from the airbrush. Spray water through the airbrush to wash out any excess paint.
