Digimon Series

Digimon is supposedly the copy of Pokemon. A lot of people seem to think that. But Digimon exceeds Pokemon in about every way possible. It's a story of 7 Chosen Children who go to a Digitial World and get their very own pet Digimon. They have to adventure with these Digimon and train them to fight the evil forces that are trying to not only cause damage and harm to the Digital World, but to the real world as well. I'm referring mostly to the first season of the anime series. The overall anime would be great for the first 3 or 4 seasons, I didn't really keep up with it after that. It's still popular, but when it was at its height it was a great series and the toys, video games, and manga books couldn't stop coming out! I didn't really know what a manga book was or get into them, but the video games are a different story.

I love, absolutely love, Digimon World 1. The others were fun in their own way, especially Digimon World 3, but 1 was the best in my opinion. It wasn't well received at all, getting low ratings all across the board. I think that's mostly due to the fact that the game isn't much at all like the anime cartoon. But you get your own Digimon, and you get to raise them and watch them Digivolve, which is fun to me. You're trying to get Digimon to come back to the main city and continue it in its former greatness. And of course then you want to go and stop the evil Digimon that caused the normal inhabitants of the city go beserk and leave. It's an enjoyable game, and it's one worth playing. Minus getting Numemon, but that's for a different time and article.

Overall the Digimon series is one that I've enjoyed a lot over the years, be it by watching the cartoon, playing the video games, collecting the cards, playing with the toys, reading the manga books, or however else. There has been a lot of love for Digimon in my life. It seems to be alive and kicking on the Nintendo DS, gaming wise, but I'm not a fan of how those games battle out and go. So I'll likely avoid those. But the series is still one I enjoy, and I plan on getting Digimon World 1 again and experiencing what made the series so great to me in the first place.
