Get Your Movies with Ease Using 4G Internet Service

Thanks to the internet, there are a lot of different entertainment options available these days. People can use Facebook to play games with their friends, Youtube to watch music videos, and Google to find interesting news stories to read, just to name a few. An activity that has become extremely popular as of late is using the internet to watch movies on your computer. Although wired broadband is more than capable of handling that kind of content, a wireless solution like 4G internet would be better.

To be able to stream movies from the internet, you need to have an internet connection, but not any old internet connection will do. Your connection needs to be up to par. There are two characteristics that define any kind of connection: latency and bandwidth. Latency is the amount of time it takes for data to go from your computer to the internet and then back again. In order for games to run well, your connection needs to feature low latency, but that won't help much with movies. Bandwidth is the amount of data that can be transferred per second and it is much more important when it comes to watching movies. Fortunately, 4G internet has both low latency and high bandwidth. Although it won't have extremely low latency like cable or DSL, it will be low enough to allow you to play most games. When it comes to bandwidth though, it will be able to keep up with the best of them. You can expect to get at least 6 megabits per second transfer rates and sometimes even more. It's not unheard of for people to get upwards of 10 megabits too.

How fast will your 4G connection need to be exactly to handle movie content though? That all depends on the way you get your movies. For example, if you choose to download them through Bit Torrent or in any way that doesn't involve streaming, total bandwidth won't be all that important. It may take longer for movie downloads to become available with a slower connection, but they eventually will become available. Despite that though, it's always better to have a fast connection so you can start watching your movies sooner, and a 6 megabit connection will be plenty fast. Bandwidth really starts to become important when you're dealing with streaming video. Services such as Netflix allow you to watch movies anytime you're ready but only if your connection is up to the task. Thankfully, 4G internet and its high transfer rates are more than capable of delivering your content. You'll even be able to enjoy HD video. Netflix lowers the quality of your streaming content if your connection isn't fast enough, but if it has over a certain level of bandwidth you'll be able to enjoy the highest resolutions available. Thankfully, your new connection can take advantage of its premium content.

All that discussion about bandwidth is almost enough to make people forget the real reason why they should sign up for this connection: it can be used all throughout the city-wide coverage area, not just at home. You could stream movies wherever you have signal and even while on the move such as when you're in a car. You'll be able to enjoy your entertainment whenever you want, which makes 4G internet the best connectivity option currently available.
