How to Sew a Towel Washcloth for Babies
- 1). Spread your flannel flat on your working surface and lay a 12-inch towel washcloth on top of it.
- 2). Cut around the 12-inch towel with a pair of scissors, using it as a template to create a flannel square that is the exact same size and shape.
- 3). Line up the edges of the towel and the flannel. If the flannel has a pattern on only one side, the pattern side should be facing the towel.
- 4). Sew the two squares together using needle and thread, creating a seam that is 1/4-inch from the edge of the fabric. Leave a 2-inch gap along one side.
- 5). Turn the squares inside out through the gap, smoothing the edges and corners flat.
- 6). Turn the raw edges of the gap into the washcloth and sew the gap shut using an overcast stitch.
