How to Sew a Towel Washcloth for Babies

1). Spread your flannel flat on your working surface and lay a 12-inch towel washcloth on top of it.
2). Cut around the 12-inch towel with a pair of scissors, using it as a template to create a flannel square that is the exact same size and shape.
3). Line up the edges of the towel and the flannel. If the flannel has a pattern on only one side, the pattern side should be facing the towel.
4). Sew the two squares together using needle and thread, creating a seam that is 1/4-inch from the edge of the fabric. Leave a 2-inch gap along one side.
5). Turn the squares inside out through the gap, smoothing the edges and corners flat.
6). Turn the raw edges of the gap into the washcloth and sew the gap shut using an overcast stitch.
