Often one of the hardest dishes that people make in the kitchen is the gravy.
They find that doing this process takes quite a bit of effort to do without a recipe and often it ends up becoming a soupy mess that no one looks forward to eating.
Of course, you will also find that the gravy you make will define your meal, so it is essential that you take a solid approach to making it.
There are some important things to remember during the process, that we will share with you to ensure you do not end up with a mess in your bowl.
Instead, you will have a delicious treat that people will remember for a long time.
To begin with, it is important that you understand that gravy is an easy dish to make, as long as you follow a certain procedure.
This is not a dish that you simply toss everything together and make.
Instead, you need to follow a series of steps to ensure that it comes out properly.
This means when you do find a recipe, you go in the ingredient order that you find, that way you ensure that you do not end up with something that is lumpy or has a strange flavor.
Next, always make sure you are attempting to make the gravy hot enough.
Flour is added to a boiling liquid, as opposed to a cold or lukewarm one.
This helps the flour to breakdown.
Too often, people will attempt to make this mixture with tepid water and it turns out very lumpy.
Be sure you take the time to mix it together in a hot liquid and use a whisk as well.
That way, you do not have to worry about there being lumps in you mixture.
Finally, salt and pepper to taste at the very end.
Too often, if you do this before you even taste the mixture you run the risk of over seasoning and have a dish you cannot tolerate.
It is best to go slow and work through the process until you end up with a delicious dish you can enjoy.
Exceptionally Easy Gravy What You Will Need
  • 4 Tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 4 Cups stock
  • Salt and Pepper
How to Make It Begin the process by bringing your stock to a boil.
This will help to ensure your flour ends up breaking down.
When it reaches a steady boil, turn down the heat, and then slowly start to add in your gravy one tablespoon at a time, you will want to try to get this to the thickness you are looking for, so add your flour in slowly.
In some cases, you might want to add more flour if you like thicker gravy.
