How to Roast Ham in a Slow Cooker
- 1). Place your slow cooker in an area where it can cook for more than eight hours undisturbed. Unwrap the ham and drain any liquids into your sink.
- 2). Pour 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar into the bottom of the slow cooker. Spread the sugar along the bottom until it's completely covered.
- 3). Rest the flat side of the ham on the bottom of the slow cooker. Trim the sides of the ham to fit, if needed. Press the remaining 1/2 cup of brown sugar onto the top of the ham. Rub the sugar down the sides, covering it the best you can.
- 4). Plug the slow cooker into a wall outlet and cover with the lid. Set the temperature to "Low" and cook for about eight hours or until a meat thermometer inserted into the ham reads 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Once done, remove the ham and serve.
