Call Recording Software
Phone call recording is mostly used for business purposes, and is used by busy professionals to make their lives easier. An architect, who is hardly ever in his/her office as he/she is going from construction site to construction site, might find it useful to record his/her calls. Similarly, a marketing executive that drives around all day can never keep track of the market rates, etc., and can record his/her calls. Call recording, therefore, is an essential tool for many professionals.
Phone call recording technology is also used at call centres for effective monitoring, and to improve call quality and customer experience as well as to keep a digital track of sales etc. It is used to remove the uncertainty in performance appraisals, and improve internal dispute facilitation. Another advantage is the use of live calls for training and coaching purposes based on the common reality of the Call Outcomes and the Customers Experience. Moreover, it helps in documenting disputed Calls where a customer accuses employee of inappropriate behaviour. Phone call recording has thus become a viable tool for call centres.
On an individual level, call recording can help a person keep record of his/her personal conversations. For example, some people record the calls of their internal auditors. It can also be used to spy on a cheating spouse, though I am sure that is not legally allowed.
Several software programmes are available nowadays for call recording. These include TRx Personal Phone Call Recorder, Advanced Phone Recorder, Phone Spy Telephone Software etc. TRx Personal Phone Call Recorder is a phone call recording programme that works on Windows, Mac OS X, and Windows CE devices, and is made to be used at different locations such as call centres, businesses, and homes. It is simple to install and easy to use. Advanced Phone Recorder is interesting software in which a user can record his/her calls to a computer, and can use them any time later for reference. Phone Spy Telephone Software has many customers all over the world, especially in the UK. Its stellar performance has been awarded with 5 Stars Award by SoftSea.com.
Phone recording may be an excellent tool, but there are laws governing its use. In the UK, The Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 commonly restricts any third party other than government institutions to interfere communications. Individuals are allowed to make a recording of a phone call without notifying the other person only, if they are not intended to share it with any other person.
A bit different laws exist for businesses, as a company is entitled to make a recording without the knowledge of the employee to ensure that the calls are relevant to business or provide evidence of a business transaction. However, a company has to allow the individuals to make unrecorded personal calls under the law.
In short, phone call recording software programmes have become a source of information and are readily employed by businesses and individuals alike.
