How to Wire a Sea-Doo

  • 1). Access the engine compartment of the Sea-Doo and use a wrench to remove the negative and positive battery cables from the battery. Also remove the end of the starter cable attached to the positive battery terminal.

  • 2). Use a screwdriver to remove the starter mounting screws. Turn the starter over and then unplug the starter cable.

  • 3). Plug the new starter cable into the starter. Hold the starter back in place on the side of the engine and use the screwdriver to mount it back into place.

  • 4). Connect the other end of the new starter cable to the positive post of the Sea-Doo battery. Connect the positive and negative battery cables with the wrench. Start the Sea-Doo to test it.
