Is 50 A Dangerous Age For A Woman?
Apparently, there is a growing tendency for (certain) women to opt out of their comfort zone while approaching 50 to live another life, be it the search for personal fulfillment or vice versa.
They no longer want to succumb to a lifestyle or a far from satisfaction relationship that gives them boredom.
It's high time they move on from such environment to find self passion when the bondage of children and the mundane routine finally call it a day at 50! Back to the time when you just started a family, having children one after another, you coped with almost the entire household from day one.
Washing, cooking, driving kids to school to and fro; shopping mainly for the groceries not to mention other trivial odds and ends.
There was hardly a moment you could call it your own.
Winter comes and summer goes.
You are relieved at last when the children have left for further studies and that's the time when you begin to think of doing something you are passionate about, in a long long time.
Perhaps a hobby? If that's the case, fine! Ironically, this is also a critical time when the bond between marriage and the children no longer hold on to its intimate connection as when they were much younger in the family.
How about the relationship? Be honest to yourself, the attraction doesn't always stay that way particularly when the financial condition is a problem.
Like the adage goes: No Money, No Honey and no sparkling stars in each other's eyes.
Excuse me, we all need food and shelter basically don't we? The bottom line is: what drives some women deliberately run away from home or simply give up? According to psychologist Louann Brizendine in her book " The Female Brain" which states that our minds and emotions undergo at different stages and 65% of divorces after 50 are initiated by women as women are prone to undergo some sort of rocky hormonal swings between the ages of 45 and 55.
Having a lower level of estrogen means they are less concerned about issues such as keeping the peace and caring for other people whereas an increase in testosterone will result in women reacting to anger and irritation more like a man's.
On the whole, all things take two to cause.
Turning 50 is not scary or dangerous for a woman.
Making it to 50 is actually a blessing.
Imagine there were many that could not even reach this figure.
You can choose to live it constructively or destructively.
There is so much you can contribute to at this so-called Golden Age (50) Don't you agree that in fact, life only just begins at 50?
