How to Save Athena Cantaloupe Seeds
- 1). Cut a fully ripe Athena cantaloupe in half crosswise.
- 2). Scoop the seeds out with a spoon into a bowl of water.
- 3). Immerse your hands in the water. Use your fingers to scrape and rub the seeds, separating the clinging flesh and fibers from the seeds.
- 4). Take your hands out of the water and let the seeds settle.
- 5). Remove and discard the Athena cantaloupe seeds that floated to the surface.
- 6). Rinse the seeds you retained in plain water.
- 7). Place the seeds on absorbent paper or a screen mesh to dry.
- 8). Transfer the dried cantaloupe seeds to a paper envelope for storage.
