DIY: Building Digital Photography Studio Lighting
- 1). Place two chairs back to back, three feet in front of the halogen portable work light. Drape the white bed sheet completely over the side of chairs furthest away from the light. This creates a powerful light-diffusion filter that evenly lights the studio.
- 2). Screw the 100 watt full spectrum light bulb into the clip lamp. Clip the lamp onto the back of a chair about three feet to the left of the light-diffusion filter. Adjust the lamp's position to light a more specific area.
- 3). Place the easel about three feet to the right of the light-diffusion filter. Drape the emergency blanket over the easel. Change the easel's vertical adjustment if needed to reflect light onto any remaining shadows.
- 4). Place the object or person four to six feet in front of the light diffusion filter, clip lamp, and light reflector. Take your photograph.
