I accidentally ran my wife over with a farm tractor. By ambulance, she was taken to the hospital and admitted into an ICU unit. She lay in limbo for two days; I wasn't sure if she would survive. She would go in and out of consciousness quite often.
Once when she opened her eyes, she happened to look to her right -- and there sitting in a corner, on a chair, was a man. He sat there the entire day, not saying a word and not getting up from the chair.
My wife was unable to speak to him because of all the hoses and wires attached to her. That evening, without a word, he vanished.
I asked the nurses if they had seen the man and they said that they had seen him and thought he was one my wife's relatives. To this day, no one knows what became of that man. We believe he was her guardian angel.
