Mafia Wars is a multiplayer game developed by the Zynga company available on many different social networking platforms. In the game, players must travel between several different cities to gain cash, experience and advance their criminal empire. Players can earn reward points (or godfather points) as they advance levels to obtain new weapons and gifts, along with stamina and energy refills. There are multiple ways to get these reward points. - The easiest way to get reward points in Mafia Wars is to purchase the points directly from Zynga. As of mid-2009, the prices began at $5 for 10 reward points. These points can be purchased by credit or debit card from the specific application you are playing (Facebook, MySpace, iPhone, etc.).
- When you have the option to buy points in the Godfather section of the game, there is also an option to fill out special offers to get free points. These are offers from other companies that include signing up for free trials of products. You simply give them your information and Zynga deposits more reward points in your account. There are many different offers, but be aware that each offer you accept may lead to more spam in your e-mail inbox.
- Some of the offers available to get reward points do not require giving information, but they do require downloading software onto your computer. One example of this type of offer is to download a toolbar onto your Internet browser. After installing the toolbar, Zynga will deposit points in your account. - Occasionally, Mafia Wars itself offers special gifts of free reward points to those who click on certain links. These links are like promotional coupons which can give somewhere between one and five reward points. These coupons quickly expire, so be on the lookout for them so that you can click through before they are no longer valid.
