How to Propagate Angel Leaf Begonias
- 1). Mix the soils in the clay pot. Use half a pot of peat moss and half a pot of Perlite. Mix them together with a hand shovel.
- 2). Choose an Angel wing shoot with at least two pairs of leaves and a growing point.
- 3). Snip the stem just below the top pair of leaves. Remove the bottom pair of leaves.
- 4). Place the cutting in the prepared soil. Plant the bottom end of the cutting about an inch deep in the soil.
- 5). Water your plant well but do not over saturate.
- 6). Cover the plant with a plastic bag. Wrap a rubber band around the bottom of the pot to create a humidity shelter for the plant.
- 7). Place the plant under fluorescent or indirect light for about a week. Then remove the bag.
- 8). Water the plant when the soil becomes dry. Fertilize the plant with houseplant fertilizer every few months.
