Before you go under the knife here are some thoughts that are particularly applicable to your cosmetic surgery search:
  • Don't go to a doctor whose office plants are dead.
    This advice is great.
Dead plants don't exactly show the attention to detail that gives you confidence in the surgeon or the organization of her office.
  • Cleanliness is next to godliness.
You may be surprised by the number of offices you visit that aren't clean or neat.
If you're going to spend your hard-earned money some¬where, you have every right to expect a pleasant and clean environment.
One patient once told me, "I chose your office because it was so clean that I knew your operating room would be clean, too.
    "
  • College grad and Proud to Prove It.
Everybody makes mistakes, but if you see a lot of basic
  • Errors as you interact with a practice; you have a cause for concern.
Certainly, they should learn how to spell and pronounce your name correctly.
  • Just say no to stupidity.
If you encounter practices with people who don't know any¬thing, just say no.
There are too many good doctors and great staffs to put up with mediocrity.
  • Not all who wander are lost.
You don't have to make a decision on anyone's time frame but your own.
If you need more information or simply just want to wait until you're ready, then that's what you should do.
  • Age cures everything, but plastic surgery is quicker.
I found this quote on some cocktail napkins years ago.
If you're ready and if you've found the right doctor, then go for it.
Much joy and pleasure await you.
This may seem like "bumper sticker wisdom" but these items hold tried and true, red flags should raise if you see one of these points but if you see two of these bullet point items around in the cosmetic surgery center you really should fun for the hills, and run fast.
