Butterflies can be drawn to your garden with a couple tricks in your garden.
You can give them a rotten piece of fruit to eat on, or plant bright colored plants that include a mixture of bushes and flowers.

How to attract using flowers and bushes One of the main things that butterflies are attracted to is brightly colored plants and flowers since that will attract them with food.
Also bright feeders and small puddles around for drinking water help attract greatly.
Take a small part of your garden and let it grow wild.
Let the grass grow long and lay wildflower seeds around your wild area.
The area you should choose needs to get a lot of sunshine but be blocked off from the wind the best you can.
Then around the area you let grow wild, plant your bright colored plants to attract them to that area.
To finish off the appeal lay stones around for your butterflies to land on, make them smooth to even be more attractive.
Butterflies are looking for the flowers to provide nectar; they also prefer single flowers instead of double blooms.
Certain butterflies will be attracted to different color, so more of a variety of colors will increase the amount of butterflies in your garden.
Also group these multiple colors together in clumps to attract butterflies.
A list of plants that are great include the butterfly bush, mock orange, Marigold, lavender and honeysuckle plus may more.
Using an Artificial Puddle Butterflies love to take a drink after gathering their nectar.
Having a permanent puddle in your garden will be key.
It's easy also.
Take a small pan, place sand around the pan and fill with water or fruit juice.
Then just bury it to the rim so it will blend in and there you have your own man made puddle.
Butterfly Feeders Making an effective butterfly feeder is easier than one thinks.
Just take a small dish and hang it from a tree with a few other pots that have flowers in them.
Hand the dish higher than the flowers.
To grab the butterflies attention even more place fake flowers on the hanger holding your dish.
For food just use some rotting fruit and keep it wet.
Butterflies do not like dry food so make sure to keep it moist.
Remaking Butterfly Nectar If rotting fruit doesn't sound like a great additive in your garden you can make butterfly nectar by boiling 1 cup of sugar with 4 cups of water.
You can store the nectar in your fridge for around a week.
You can also soak sponges in the butterfly nectar and hang it from your trees, just surround the sponge with artificial flowers to attract the butterflies.
When you give butterflies the ideal environment they will come back and give your garden that extra special appeal.
