How to Make a YouTube Video the Landing Page for a Facebook Fan Page
- 1). Log into Facebook using any Web browser on your computer. Go to your Facebook Fan Page.
- 2). Click the "Edit Settings" button. Click "Manage Permissions" in the left menu if you are not taken there by default.
- 3). Click the menu beside "Default Landing Page." Select "Links." Click "Save Changes." If you do not want other people posting links to videos later that will be placed above your video, deselect all three options beside "Posting Ability" while you are on this page.
- 4). Open a new browser window and go to the YouTube video you want to post on your Landing Page. Click the "Share" button beneath the video, then click the "Facebook" button. A new window opens.
- 5). Click "On Your Own Wall" at the top of the new window. Select "On Your Page." Make sure the "No Thumbnail" check box is not selected.
- 6). Click the "Share Link" button. Close the YouTube window.
- 7). Click the "View Page" button on your Facebook Fan Page window. Anyone who has "liked" your page will see the Wall tab as the default landing page. The YouTube video will be on the top of the wall. Clicking the thumbnail will play the YouTube video.
- 8). Click "Links" in the left menu. This is the default landing page for anyone who has not "liked" your page yet. The YouTube video will be on the top of this page as well.
- 9). Remove all other links from the Links tab if desired by clicking the "X" beside each link.
