Many people age before their time; this is primarily due to abuses that we impose on our own bodies such as non-nutritious foods, stress, a sedentary lifestyle, poor posture and the list goes on. It should be known, though, that our bodies were made to bounce back and be regenerated at the cellular level. Yoga is a form of exercise that helps to slow down the aging process by firming up the skin, relaxing the spine, removing tension and stress from the body, correcting poor posture, strengthening the abdominal muscles and so on. Therefore the benefits of anti aging yoga exercises can strengthen the body, mind and soul.

Yoga acts to positively enhance the health of the human body. A major benefit to Yoga is that doing the exercises can make you feel and look young again. It rejuvenates the body and revitalizes the mind as well. Yoga helps to increase mental competence in a person as well as helping to enhance the ability to fight external and internal dangers and diseases. There is a concept in Yoga philosophy that says that age in a person is not determined by the number of years he has lived, but by the flexibility of his spine.

Practicing Yoga on a consistent basis is essential to realizing its benefits. There are different types of Yoga available but classes at a gym are as good as videos that can be bought.

There are generally four basic Yoga poses that a person can use regularly to help in the anti-aging process: The first is the Reclining Twist. This pose stretches and squeezes all of the internal organs, which especially helps with slow digestion. It also helps to increase the flexibility of the spine and ease back tension.

The next one is called the Lunge. This pose strengthens the knee joints and legs and increases the legs bone density. It also relieves back pain and sciatica and opens the hip joints. In addition, according to Chinese medicine, this pose stimulates the energy channels in the feet. These channels directly relate to all internal organs.

The next beneficial pose is called the Plow Pose, which is a more advanced pose. This pose relieves tension and stress and it helps to regulate the metabolic rate and stimulates the thyroid.

The last pose is a resting pose in Yoga. It is called the Child pose and it helps to balance the immune system and relieve stress.

In and of itself anti aging yoga exercises can be considered a miracle in helping to reverse the effects of aging.
