There are many possible reasons that a computer may malfunction.
One of the most common problems is overheating.
This typically occurs when a person plays a great deal of online gaming or they run multiple programs on their computer at the same time.
When the computer gets too hot, it may shut off causing you to restart multiple times.
This is what is known as a hardware problem.
This has to do with the quality of the manufacturing of your computer opposed to the software that is actually running the show.
When a virus or spyware is placed on your computer, it does not affect the physical components of your system.
It begins to attack the software that is actually the brains of your desktop or laptop, whichever one that you use.
The most obvious sign that you have been infiltrated is that you will start to see additional web browsers popping up with advertisements for products that may or may not be related to what you are searching for on the Internet.
Sometimes you will simply load a program and adware will turn on.
The purpose of this software is to get you to purchase a product that it is selling.
It is believed that the creators of malware are actually the same ones that create the programs that remove it.
Talk about a self replicating business.

The first thing that you can do is to implement a system restore.
If you do this, it will return your computer settings to a time prior to the invasion that has occurred.
For some reason, malware is kept in a location that is separate from the system restore itself.
Therefore, once your computer reboots, the foreign programs will be eliminated.
The second thing you can do is to activate your pop-up blockers.
If you do this, it will stop all of the additional web browsers from appearing which is how these programs operate.
If the browser cannot appear, then their function is limited.
The last thing you can do is install a program that will remove foreign programs from your system.
Although most of these cost money, you can run a free analysis on your computer to see exactly what her problem is.
At that point, you would have to pay for the program in order to finish the job.
If you believe that a foreign software program has invaded your computer, you need to take action and fix this problem.
