How to Make a Documentary Hotfile
- 1). Compress the documentary video file using video-compression software until the file size is 400 MB or smaller.
- 2). Split the original documentary into multiple pieces using video-editing software if the compressed file looks bad. Save each piece as a separate file. Compress each file until it is 400 MB or smaller, if necessary.
- 3). Name your documentary file, or files, with clear and easy-to-understand titles. For example, if your film consists of two files, name the file containing the first half of the movie "MovieName_Pt1" and the second file "MovieName_Pt2."
- 1). Navigate to the Hotfile website in your web browser.
- 2). Click "Choose FIle." The "Open" dialog appears. Double-click the documentary file in the "Open" dialog to open it.
- 3). Click the "Terms of Service," "Intellectual Property Policy" and "Privacy Policy" links. The terms and policies are displayed in new windows or tabs in your browser. Read each page.
- 4). Click the "I have read the HotFile Terms of Service…" checkbox if you agree with Hotfile's terms and policies. You can't upload your files if you don't agree.
- 5). Click "Upload." When the upload process finishes, a page displaying sharable links to the file appears.
- 6). Type your email address into the "Send links to my e-mail" text box. Click "Send."
- 7). Click "Upload another file" to upload additional files to Hotfile.
