What we think is a little thing, Jesus counts as a big thing.
Having anger with a person puts us in a position where Jesus says we are in danger of the judgment that is going to take us to hell.

OUR TEXT Matthew 5:21-22 (New King James Version) 21 "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.
' 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment.
And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council.
But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire.
This is indeed a scary passage for a person who has anger issues.
Do you know that it says in the Sermon on the Mount later on that if you don't forgive your brother, neither will the Lord Jesus forgive you? Do you know people who have un-forgiveness in their heart can actually go to hell? That is very scary that you could end up there.
Sometimes life and a brother can get you very angry.
Some people are best avoided rather than getting angry at them when you are together.
A person that has anger issues needs to have some work done on it with good prayer counselors.
You see here that calling a person a fool can get you in deep water with Jesus.
A statement to a person, "Don't worry about him, he is an idiot," can get you in hot water with Jesus.
Many people would say that this does not line up with grace.
Yet here they are, these are Jesus' very words.
It is Him speaking not me.
He is the One that will judge in the great day when we are judged.
One day, Jesus said to me, "There is one Judgment day Matthew, until then don't judge people.
" They are sobering words.
Over the years I have become better, but I must admit I have a way to go.
I had a guy in my life that told me that he was sorry for the times he was angry with me.
He told me that all the weeks frustrations build up in him, and then I say something that makes him angry and he explodes all his anger on me.
I thought to myself.
That is not a guy I should mix with.
Jesus is talking about life like that.
Have we got people we often get angry with over something little? We should get that all healed and stop it.
