- 1). Cut the ends of the six, 60-inch planks to a 30-degree angle, using your saw. Nail them together to form two equilateral triangle frames.
- 2). Lay two of your 70-inch planks parallel, 60 inches apart, then line up the two triangle frames you created at either end. Place the frames on top of the parallel planks, and nail in place.
- 3). Nail the rectangle plywood pieces around one end of the frame so they form a covered area. Nail in the triangle plywood piece on the end of the frame to complete the covered area of the coop.
- 4). Run the chicken wire over one side of your frame, securing it with staples about every 5 inches.
- 5). Cut a 60-inch-sided triangle of chicken wire. Secure it on the side of the coop, stapling ever 5 inches.
- 6). Nail four nails along the side of the front your coop an equal distance apart. Bend the nails over slightly. Hook your chicken wire over the nails so you have a secure wire door that opens to the chicken coop.
- 7). Check over your coop, making sure all the chicken wire is stapled down securely. Make sure there are no holes where the chickens pull at the wire.
