How to Make a Mosquito Net

    • 1). Using a stud finder, locate a ceiling joist over the bed, crib or other piece of furniture that the mosquito net will cover. Screw a cup hook into the joist.

    • 2). Attach 2-feet lengths of satin ribbon or cord to the 4-inch "O" ring using lark's head knots. The 4 lengths of ribbon should be opposite one another on 4 sides of the ring. Attach the other end of each piece of ribbon or cord to the embroidery hoop. The hoop will then hang below the ring, creating a frame for the mosquito net when it is hung from the cup hook.

    • 3). Cut chiffon fabric into 12 feet lengths. Bunch fabric so that it can be threaded through the 4-inch metal "O" ring. Drape fabric over the 2-feet diameter embroidery hoop and tack in place with a hot melt glue gun.

    • 4). Hang net from ceiling hook. Drape fabric over bed, crib or other piece of furniture so that it is completely covered. Make sure all layers of fabric are overlapped, with no gaps. Fabric should brush the floor when the net is in place.
