Tips on Choosing Bathroom Tiles

Many people thinking about remodeling their bathroom are looking for a suitable bathroom tile design that complements their home; making a choice on a style isn't always as straightforward as you may think with the ranges available today.
Cost is always an issue, but there are many designs available and at all price ranges.
Of course there are favorites and four tile designs spring to mind, the famous harlequin style, marble, stone and the more contemporary colored tiles.
If you don't know what the harlequin bathroom tile looks like; imagine a white tile that has smaller black diamond shapes in a grid like pattern imprinted on them and you have the harlequin style.
The tiles tend to be a little longer and the pattern resembles a mimes costume in a way but you can opt for this classic design in just about any combination of colors from earthy tones to bright reds.
I have to say that it is in the classic black on white style that I find the most appealing and timeless.
Whilst the style will go with many bath types and polished fixings, it is when they are used in combination with a traditional bath tub that the best effect is seen.
Some people are not too crazy about all of that shimmer and shine because fingerprints and water marks can be real issues when using such materials on a daily basis.
Despite the wonderful appearance, it is something to consider especially when you have younger children that absolutely adore making patterns and marks with their hands.
Despite the color choices it is the traditional black on white that provides the best finish and is usually the easiest to buy without having to place a special order.
Marble has always been a more expensive bathroom tile design option but has a timeless quality which the more modern tiles will never match.
Whilst tiles are intrinsically expensive there are ways to ensure you have a unique design that won't cost a fortune; try using good but less expensive bathroom tiles as a base for your creation.
As you will only be using a few of the expensive tiles to complement the other tiles you have chosen it doesn't matter if you spend a little more on these because you will have created a great design for little cost.
No matter what design you choose you probably want to consider investing in a professional for installation.
I know that you can save a lot of money by doing it yourself but you may find that you waste more time and material if you are not familiar with the process.
Bringing your bathroom remodeling project to life is not a job for a novice.
